Conventional four-year and six-year undergraduate graduation rates are not useful measures of KGI's graduate and professional programs. In the 2024-25 IPEDS reporting, the institution recorded no first-time, degree-seeking undergraduate entrants, the type of cohort on which those familiar rates are built.
A more useful question is how students in a particular program progress. Applicants to a clinical or other professionally accredited program can look for its published completion, licensure-exam, and placement measures, checking the cohort years and definitions before comparing them with another school's figures.
Earnings should be evaluated by program and occupation, not treated as a single KGI-wide outcome. A pharmacy graduate entering a licensed profession and a graduate moving into biotechnology business roles may have different career paths and pay patterns.
When comparing published earnings figures, check whether they describe a median or mean, whether they measure one year or several years after completion, and which former students are included. Earnings alone cannot account for debt, regional living costs, work hours, or whether graduates entered the field they intended to pursue.
