Harvey Mudd students have access to campus safety services within The Claremont Colleges. Reported measures include around-the-clock patrols, emergency telephone or alarm devices, late-night escort or transportation services, and electronically controlled residence-hall entrances.
Students should learn how to request an escort, report an emergency, and receive campus alerts when they arrive. The college also maintains processes for reporting sexual misconduct and accessing support; those processes are distinct from making a police report. For incident definitions and annual reported crime figures, the relevant reference is the institution's Annual Security Report. Such figures cover specified locations and reporting periods and cannot, by themselves, establish whether any individual will feel safe.
