The 2024-25 reported graduate tuition was the same for in-state and out-of-state students. For a full-time graduate student, reported tuition and required fees totaled $19,350 for the academic year; living and other personal expenses would be additional.
These figures describe a reporting year, not necessarily the bill for a later entering class. An individual budget may also include books, transportation, housing, meals, and program-specific clinical or placement expenses. Part-time students should not add the full-time annual tuition figure to a per-credit estimate; they need a calculation based on their actual course load and applicable fees.
Eligible graduate students may use federal student loans and, depending on their circumstances, institutional assistance or military education benefits. Graduate students generally should not plan on the undergraduate federal Pell Grant. Compare the current program's total estimated cost of attendance with a personalized aid offer, rather than treating published tuition as the final amount you will pay.
Students considering part-time work should first determine whether their program schedule and supervised-training obligations leave room for it. A paid job, an internship, and Federal Work-Study serve different purposes: a job provides wages, an internship may fulfill academic requirements, and Federal Work-Study is a need-based aid program that pays eligible students for approved work.
Applicants interested in Federal Work-Study should ask the financial-aid office whether it is offered for their program, whether they qualify, and how positions are filled. An aid award does not by itself guarantee a job or pay wages in advance. Clinical placements should likewise not be assumed to be paid employment.
