What are the security measures and safety resources available for students at Briar Cliff University?
Briar Cliff reports round-the-clock patrol by trained security personnel, emergency telephone or alarm devices, a late-night transport or escort service, and electronically controlled residence-hall entrances. These are resources students can ask about during a campus visit; their availability does not establish that an incident cannot occur.
Students should learn how to reach campus security, receive emergency notifications, and report a concern, including sexual misconduct. The university's annual security report is the appropriate place to examine its stated procedures and federally reported campus-crime figures. Those figures cover specified locations and reporting periods and are not a complete measure of anyone's personal risk.
