WMed students train across educational and clinical settings, so safety procedures depend partly on the site where they are working. In an immediate emergency, students should call 911 and follow the building's or clinical site's emergency instructions.
Before starting classes or rotations, students should learn how WMed distributes emergency notices, how to report a safety concern, and which office handles sexual misconduct reports and supportive measures. They should also review the school's current annual security report for its stated reporting locations, policies, and federally defined crime statistics. Those statistics cover specified categories and periods; they are not a complete measure of every risk a student may encounter.
