What are the popular events and traditions at Lehigh University?

Lehigh's best-known recurring tradition is its football rivalry with Lafayette College. The annual game, often called "The Rivalry," connects present-day students and alumni to a long-running regional competition, whether or not they follow the team throughout the season.

Other campus events create different kinds of participation. The Fall Community & Club Expo introduces students to organizations and activities, while events such as Dancefest and F.U.S.I.O.N have been listed among campus programming. Names, formats, and schedules can change, so a current events calendar is the best guide to what will take place during a particular year.

What are the student housing and dining options at Lehigh University?

Lehigh offers university-operated undergraduate housing, including residence halls and other arrangements for eligible students. Coeducational housing is available, and reported housing facilities provide high-speed internet access. Students should review the housing rules for their class year: the availability of campus housing does not by itself establish that every preferred building or room type is guaranteed.

First-year students should check the university's current residential requirements, housing application dates, and assignment process. Meal plans and campus dining locations offer different combinations of dining-hall access and other purchases; the appropriate plan depends on where a student lives and how often they expect to eat on campus. Students considering off-campus housing should compare lease terms, transportation, and meal costs with the campus option rather than compare rent alone.

One practical constraint for new students is transportation: reported policy does not permit first-year students to register or park a car on campus. Anyone whose housing or work plans depend on a vehicle should confirm the current parking rules before committing to those plans.
