Reported UDC graduation measures include a 29% four-year rate and a 44% six-year rate. A separately reported overall graduation figure is 33%. These measures should not be treated as interchangeable: their student groups, degree levels, and reporting windows may differ.
Federal graduation-rate measures commonly follow first-time, full-time students who begin in a particular cohort. They therefore do not describe every UDC student, especially those who transfer in, begin part time, or return to college as adults. A reported first-year retention rate of 68% measures continued enrollment, not degree completion.
For a prospective student, the practical questions are more specific than any institution-wide percentage: how often required courses run, whether transferred credits fulfill the major, and what academic advising and financial-aid rules apply if a degree takes longer than planned.
College Scorecard field-of-study figures describe earnings measured about one year after completion for graduates included in the federal data. They are not starting-salary offers or predictions of what an individual UDC graduate will earn.
Scorecard earnings figures cover qualifying graduates in the reported field and measurement period, rather than everyone who studied that subject. They can reflect differences in jobs, location, further study, and the size of the group measured. They also say nothing by themselves about debt, benefits, career progression, or earnings many years later. Students comparing majors should examine the credential level and underlying program, not just the dollar figure.
