Homecoming is a recurring UDC tradition that brings students and alumni together around university activities. Basketball games and the Miss UDC Pageant are also identified with the campus events calendar.
Events can provide a point of connection for students who do not live on campus, while performances and student-organization programming offer other ways to participate. The events attached to a particular Homecoming - or whether a named activity appears in a given year - should be confirmed against that year's university calendar rather than assumed from past celebrations.
UDC does not report college-owned or college-operated undergraduate housing. An undergraduate relocating to Washington should therefore plan for a private rental, a family arrangement, or another independently secured place to live rather than expect a UDC residence-hall assignment.
Housing searches should account for rent, utilities, deposits, commuting time, and lease terms. A housing allowance in a financial-aid cost-of-attendance estimate is a budgeting component, not evidence that the university will provide a room. Students should likewise check current campus dining locations and hours against their class schedule; a published food allowance does not necessarily represent a required UDC meal plan.
