Graduation ceremonies are a significant recurring occasion for UMass Global students, many of whom otherwise study at a distance. They provide an opportunity for eligible graduates to mark completion with classmates, family and university representatives.
Other academic, career and community events may be offered in person or virtually, with participation depending on location and schedule. Students seeking a traditional homecoming or weekly campus-event calendar should not assume that events at another University of Massachusetts institution are UMass Global events; the university's own current calendar is the appropriate guide.
UMass Global does not offer college-owned or college-operated undergraduate housing. Students should therefore plan for their own housing, whether they study from home, commute to a learning location or relocate for a program requirement.
There is no university residence-hall placement or accompanying campus meal plan to build into an enrollment plan. The room-and-board amount used in cost estimates represents living expenses, not a housing or dining package sold by the university. Anyone relocating for in-person classes or a placement should confirm the required location and dates before committing to a lease.
