Welcome Week is a documented point of entry into Ohio University Chillicothe's campus community. Its activities give new and returning students a chance to learn about campus resources and connect with other students near the start of a term.
The campus also hosts academic, cultural, and community-facing events, but their subjects and schedules can change from year to year. Students should use the current Chillicothe events calendar when planning to attend a performance, speaker program, or student activity. Athens-campus traditions may be open to Ohio University students more broadly, yet they should not be presented as events held in Chillicothe.
Ohio University Chillicothe does not provide college-owned or college-operated undergraduate housing. Students generally arrange to live at home or secure their own accommodation in the Chillicothe area; there is no Chillicothe residence-hall placement to rely on.
A student considering a rental should budget for deposits, utilities, food, and travel to campus, not just advertised rent. Dining arrangements likewise should not be based on an assumed residential meal plan or Athens dining-hall access. Campus food-service availability and hours can vary, so students with long days on campus should check current options and plan for meals accordingly.
