Minerva has reported strong first-year retention and, for an earlier reporting period, substantial graduation within six years. These measures describe different student groups and should not be read as a prediction of any applicant's outcome.
The reported retention rate is 98%. Retention generally measures the share of first-time students who return the following fall; it does not measure how many complete a degree. In figures reported for 2022, the four-year graduation rate was 71%, while the six-year rate was 83%. Graduation rates follow entering cohorts over a defined period, so those two rates should not be treated as results for the current entering class.
Students evaluating the figures may also want to ask how changes in residence location, academic progression requirements, and leaves of absence affect a student's path to graduation.
A reliable program-level earnings figure is not available here for Minerva graduates one year after completion. It would therefore be misleading to attach a typical salary to a Minerva degree or to one of its majors.
Earnings statistics, when available, need a precise definition: the population counted, whether the figure is a median or an average, and how long after graduation income was measured. They can also omit graduates who continue their education, work outside the United States, or do not appear in the underlying wage records. For a university with a small, internationally mobile student body, those limitations are especially important when comparing outcomes with those of larger domestic institutions.
Applicants can use published graduate-destination information as one point of reference, but should distinguish independently measured earnings from university-reported job placements, individual alumni examples, and statements about career preparation.
