Louisiana State University-Shreveport

What are the popular events and traditions at Louisiana State University-Shreveport?

LSUS's athletics calendar and student-activity programming provide recurring opportunities to gather on campus. Pilots games, academic presentations and events organized by student groups may appeal to different parts of the university community.

Event names, schedules and formats can change from year to year. Rather than assume a particular celebration is held annually, prospective students can consult the current LSUS events calendar and student-activities schedule. For commuters, an event's time of day may determine whether it is realistically accessible.

What are the student housing and dining options at Louisiana State University-Shreveport?

LSUS offers university-operated, coeducational undergraduate housing, but living on campus is not the usual arrangement for its students. Housing availability should not be confused with a guaranteed placement; applicants need to check current eligibility, space, contract dates and the housing application process.

Campus housing is reported to have high-speed internet access. Students comparing it with an apartment or living at home should look beyond rent to meal arrangements, utilities, transportation and contract length. Dining options and any available meal plans should be checked against the current housing and dining information, particularly for students who will be on campus outside standard weekday hours.
