CCD's reported overall graduation rate is 20% in the 2024-25 institutional figures. That is a cohort measure, not a prediction that any particular student has a one-in-five chance of finishing.
Federal graduation-rate measures for community colleges generally focus on first-time, full-time, degree- or certificate-seeking entrants who complete within a defined period, commonly 150% of the credential's normal length. They do not describe every student in a college with part-time enrollment, transfers, and people taking selected courses. A student who transfers before earning a CCD credential may count differently from one who graduates at CCD, even if both make academic progress.
The figure is worth weighing alongside the exact program's course sequence, scheduling, transfer outcomes, and a student's expected enrollment intensity. It cannot, by itself, establish why students did or did not finish.
There is no single CCD earnings figure that responsibly describes what all former students can expect to make. Earnings depend heavily on the credential, occupation, location, prior experience, and whether a student goes on to further education.
Federal College Scorecard field-of-study earnings measures, when published, describe particular groups of former students at a specified point after completion; they are not starting-salary offers or guarantees. Prospective students comparing programs such as dental support and medical informatics should check the exact credential and measurement period, then compare the result with program costs, licensing requirements, and local job openings. Small cohorts or privacy protections can also limit what field-level figures reveal.
