In the 2024-25 IPEDS figures, LAPU's reported overall graduation rate was 21%. Its reported four-year and six-year rates were each 17%, while the reported student retention rate was 57%.
These measures do not necessarily follow the same students. Federal graduation-rate measures commonly focus on a defined group of first-time, full-time entrants, which can be a poor match for a university serving many transfer and adult learners. Retention tracks continued enrollment rather than degree completion. Applicants should therefore consider these figures alongside program-specific time-to-degree expectations, transfer-credit evaluations, and their own likely course load; the rates alone do not identify why students left or how long transfer students took to finish.
Future earnings depend heavily on occupation, location, previous work experience, and whether a degree leads to a credential required for a particular job. A salary estimate for one field should not be treated as the expected pay of every LAPU student in that field.
For a practical comparison, applicants can identify the jobs they want, check whether employers require a bachelor's or graduate degree, and compare likely pay with the full cost and time needed to finish. Students considering licensed clinical or health-related work should verify the additional training and licensure steps before using occupational salaries to assess a degree's value. Employment support and earnings outcomes are also different questions: help with a résumé or job search is not evidence of a particular employment result.
