For ICAOM, program-level completion information is more useful than a conventional first-time undergraduate graduation rate. Its reported first-time and transfer-in degree-seeking undergraduate counts were both zero in the 2024-25 IPEDS data, so undergraduate cohort measures would not describe a typical incoming professional student.
Ask for the number of students in a recent entering cohort and the share who completed the specific credential within its scheduled length and within a longer period. Whether a rate includes part-time students, transfers, or students who paused clinical training changes what it means.
Earnings should not be inferred from the credential alone. Pay for acupuncture practitioners can vary with licensing, location, employment arrangements, hours worked, and the costs of operating a practice.
When comparing outcomes, ask whether a figure measures employed graduates or everyone in a graduating cohort, whether it reports a median or an average, and how long after completion earnings were measured. Gross practice revenue is not the same as a practitioner's personal income. Licensing-exam results and practice-placement information can add context, but neither guarantees a particular salary.
