University of Skövde

University of Skövde (Högskolan i Skövde or HIS) is a public research university in Skövde, Sweden. It was founded in 1977 and received university status in 1983. Under Swedish laws, HIS is officially a government agency under Sweden’s Department of Education. One of the top universities in the country, it is recognized internationally for its academic and research programs in computer game design, biomedicine, health, and business.
