University of the Sciences
University of the Sciences (USciences) is a private research university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Officially known as the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, it was founded in 1821 and was chartered the year after as the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. USciences is recognized as the first pharmacy college and among the top medical schools in the country.
University of the Sciences Key Statistics
USciences is composed of three academic colleges. These are the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, the Samson College of Health Sciences, and the Misher College of Arts and Sciences. It provides students with a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in diverse areas of study, including healthcare business, pharmaceutical sciences, humanities, and physical therapy.

It receives grants totaling around $400,000 from multiple sources annually.
The top fields of University of the Sciences research are medicine, computer science, and materials science. Its research teams are a fixture at international research conferences and symposiums, such as RAID: Recent Advances in Intrusion Detection, DAC: Design Automation Conference, and ICDAR: International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition.
