The University of Évry Val d'Essonne, or simply the University of Évry, is a public academic institution situated in a commune just outside of Paris, France, called Évry-Courcouronnes. Established in 1991, the university became part of a project that focused on improving the quality of higher education in the region of Ile-de-France, along with three other universities that were founded in the same year, playing a key role as a scientific, cultural, and professional institution.
