University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) is a public medical and research university based in Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. It was founded in 1962 by the 162nd Massachusetts General Court and is part of the University of Massachusetts System. The first and only academic health sciences institution of the Commonwealth, the University of Massachusetts Medical School is popular for its comprehensive education and cutting-edge scientific research.

The university campus sits on a hill overlooking the Blackstone River. It consists of four major schools, the School of Medicine, the Graduate School of Nursing, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and the Graduate Medical Education.
