of Chemistry was created using data consolidated from
multiple data sources including OpenAlex and CrossRef. The bibliometric data for
estimating the citation-based metrics were acquired on 21-12-2022.
Position in the ranking is based on a sum of D-indexes (Discipline H-index) of all ranking
researcher’s affiliated with a given institution. D-index
only includes publications and citation
data for an examined discipline.
The scope of our Chemistry research
Our best universities ranking is a trustworthy lineup of leading researchers from the field of Chemistry , established by means of a meticulous study of 166,880 scientists discovered from various bibliometric data sources. For the discipline of Chemistry, over 43178 scholars were analysed.
What is D-index inclusion threshold for Chemistry
The D-index threshold for approving a researcher to be evaluated is placed at 40 if the majority of of their publications are in the field of Chemistry. The acceptance criteria for researchers to be considered into the ranking of top scientists are based on the D-index, ratio of the publications made within the given field of study in addition to the awards and achievements of the scholars. Because of that we manually check each profile and cross-correlate it against publications in a wide range of reliable sources. Even though it’s not a metric impacting a scientist’s position in Research.com ranking, the amount of papers published in well-known journals and conference proceedings should form a reliable secondary implication of their contribution to research in a selected discipline. Position in the ranking is established using each scholar’s D-index using metrics collected from OpenAlex and CrossRef, which are the most credible and well-known bibliometric databases of this type available to the research community.
