The Third International Conference on Smart Applications and Data Analysis for Smart Cyber-Physical Systems (SADASC 2020) was held during June 25-26, 2020 in Marrakesh, Morocco, following the success of the previous two editions: Agadir (2016) and Casablanca (2018). The SADASC conference series (http://sadasc.net/) aim to bring together researchers and industry professionals contributing towards different phases of designing, exploiting and maintaining Smart Cyber-Physical Systems and their applications, including requirements engineering, data acquisition/cleaning, storage, deployment, exploitation, and visualization. Designers of these systems also have to consider issues such as ethics, security and privacy.
This special issue encourages submissions related to all phases of designing smart data-enabled systems/applications by showing the strong interaction between these phases. Relevant topics include but are not limited to:
- Paper submission due: September 7, 2020
- First-round acceptance notification: November 16, 2020
- Revision: January 11, 2021
- Final decision: March 1, 2021
- Submission of final paper: May 5, 2021
Paper submissions for the special issue should follow the submission format and guidelines for regular Elsevier Journal of Systems Architecture at https://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-systems-architecture. All the papers will be peer-reviewed following the JSA reviewing procedures. Guest editors will make an initial determination of the suitability and scope of all submissions. Papers that either lack originality, clarity in presentation or fall outside the scope of the special issue will not be sent for review and the authors will be promptly informed in such cases. Authors should select “VSI: SADASC20” when they reach the “Article Type” step in the submission process. Top conference papers from SADASC 2020 will be invited for extended and enhanced version for this special issue. Extended conference contributions must have at least 30% difference from the original works (the authors must indicate the conference name and make the reference to the base conference paper). We will also consider original submissions that have not yet been published in conferences.
