Digital transformation has gained certain relevance during last years, and specially in pandemic time, many organizations have been pushed to accelerate the change. Digital transformation integrates ICT into all the business areas changing operations and how additional value is delivered to customers. In this context, enterprise information systems are key to support digital transformation. Poor quality levels in enterprise information systems could prevent the success of digital transformation. Therefore, quality aspects in data, software, processes for developing these systems, among other concerns, deserve special attention.
We invite to this special issue high-quality contributions with innovative and significant findings and experiences in the field of software quality, methods and techniques employed by researchers and practitioners for managing, controlling, and assuring quality in enterprise information systems, with the last goal of facilitating and ensuring digital transformation. We accept as submissions original and previously unpublished papers as well as extended versions of papers presented at the 14th International Conference on the Quality of Information and Communications Technology (QUATIC 2021).

This special issue encourages researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and approaches on how to adopt, from a practical point of view, information systems quality management practices, methods, techniques.
