Advanced network security: methods and applications

Special Issue Call for Papers

Overview:

Network security is a key component that enables the development of trustworthy data-driven services and applications. The collection and exchange of large volumes of data through heterogeneous network technologies can be used to support the deployment of applications in different scenarios of social life nowadays. For that reason, network security risks can affect the safety of every citizen. The development of practical mechanisms and security protocols are still a challenge given some limitations of underlying network technologies.

On this basis, this special issue aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to make potential contributions to the field of network security and privacy protection. We are open to receive submissions that illustrate research results that describe significant advances in this field.

Prof. Xuejun Wu, recently is a Professor at Shanghai Dianji University. She focus on Security & Network Management research for more than 20 years. She is the guest editor for more than 20 special issues and reviewers for many international journals.

Dr. Yining Liu is currently a professor in School of Computer Science and Information Security, Guilin University of Electronic Technology, China. He received the B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from Information Engineering University, Zhengzhou, China, in 1995, the M.E. in Computer Software and Theory from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Hubei University, Wuhan, China, in 2007. His research interests include security and privacy in VANET, and data aggregation, image privacy, and machine learning.
